1. Your Relationship with SecureBurg
SecureBurg provides a platform for security companies to collect and manage information about their employees and contractors. The data collected through our platform is determined and controlled by our clients (the security companies), and we process this data on their behalf.
2. Information We Collect on Behalf of Clients
Our Clients may use our platform to collect and store the following types of personal information:
- Full name, address, date of birth
- Email address and phone number
- Last 4 digits of Social Security Number
- Uploaded documents (e.g., identification, licenses, forms)
- Employment-related data
- IP address, browser type, and usage logs (collected automatically)
3. How We Use the Information
We do not use personal data for our own purposes. Data is only processed to:
- Provide the services requested by our Clients
- Maintain the security and integrity of the platform
- Assist Clients with technical support
- Comply with legal obligations
4. Security of Data
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect data, including:
- HTTPS (SSL/TLS) encryption for all data in transit
- Role-based access controls
Documents uploaded to the platform are stored securely using access-controlled systems. Additional protections, such as file-level encryption, may be added as the platform evolves.
However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we continuously improve our measures.
5. Data Sharing
We do not share or sell personal data. Information is only disclosed:
- To the Client who collected the data
- To authorized platform administrators (as needed for support/security)
- As required by law (e.g., court order or subpoena)
6. Data Retention
We retain data only as long as requested by the Client or as required by law. After that, it is securely deleted from our systems.
7. User Rights
If you have submitted data via a SecureBurg form and wish to access, modify, or delete your information, please contact the security company that collected your data. We will assist them in fulfilling your request.
8. Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to provide platform functionality and analytics. You may disable cookies in your browser, but some features may not work correctly.
9. Children’s Privacy
Our services are not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13 years of age.
10. Breach Notification
In the event of a data breach, we will notify the affected Client (security company) without undue delay and provide necessary information to help them meet their legal obligations, including notifying their end users where applicable.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. It is the responsibility of our Clients and platform users to review this policy periodically for any changes. Continued use of the platform after any modifications constitutes acceptance of those changes.
